Elisabeth "Betsy" Wagner

Betsy has been appraising complex real estate properties since 2013 and focuses on appraising rural, transitional, and recreational properties, specializing in recreational ranches, waterfront properties, conservation easements, and mining claims. She has worked with Kevin McCarty of McCarty Land & Water Valuation, Inc. (2019 to present), and previously with Michael Nash of Nash-Johnson Associates, Inc. (2013-2019).  She has additional research and consulting experience in the public and private sectors on policy, economic, and real estate market trends related to land use and land use change as well as ecosystem services (i.e. carbon sequestration, endangered species banking, and water markets) starting with her work during and after graduate school.

She moved to Colorado in 2007 after finishing her undergraduate degree and traveling in South America. She attended the University of Colorado, Boulder receiving a master’s in business administration (MBA) with an emphasis in real estate, and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Studies. Her continued interest in land use, land use change, and conservation of natural resources, including land and water, encouraged her to pursue and receive her Certified General Appraisal license.  

Betsy is a member of and a Director on the Board for the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) Colorado Chapter, and she was formerly a member of the Appraisal Institute (AI; 2013-2018).  She received the Colorado Chapter ASFMRA Membership Scholarship in 2019 and was selected to participate in the 2019 ASFMRA Leadership Institute in Washington D.C.
